| Hey Cathy, as you know I'm doing the Isagenix -- should be fun...I'm going to start Sunday as my first day of pre-cleanse, and then go the rest of the way...I figure getting through the program without cheating will be a good enough challenge for this week's session. | |||

| The fast was okay, I could have done better. The exercises were okay with the exception of the plank. I hate that plank (smile).

| i'm having a hard time with this brown rice cleanse. even in cooking, i know i cannot add bbq sauce or ketchup. i'm feeling like i want to eat all the time, but i feel limited in what i can choose. i'm generally making good choices abt what i eat, though it's become a bit repetitive. i'll have to prepare better next week. and i havent exercised. maybe i'll do the plank tomorrow morning. | |||

| so i didnt do one bit of exercise this week, but i've just written down the list of exercises i could do and i will tackle them to at least finish the week with a bang. i will read the E in shape first next week, to help me get off to a better start. i had a birthday party for my 3 year old and temptation was rampant, but i was able to say no to lots of things, but not everything. nancy encouraged me to keep occupied to help me avoid mindless eating. | |||

| I did not exercise however I also did not cheat on the clease. I also attended amuna's daughter party and as I fed my children birthday cake I just kept breathing through it and did not eat any for myself (yippee).
I got on the scale today and I am down a bit and that pleased me but my clothing is still too tight (sheesh).

| Hey Cathy...I did the Brown Rice Cleanse this week. This cleanse was very very challenging for me because the choices of food didn't leave much room for creativity. It was mainly repetitive and it became a bit boring and I struggled at the end even to eat anything at all. I actually went long periods without eating anything at all in the last couple days. My wife was really really supportive and helped with fresh juices every morning which really gave me a boost and she helped me out with my meal plan.
However, my exercise went really great and as of Saturday I've lost 4 lbs. I have really learnt 4 major things this week:- 1) I don't need as much sugar or salt in my food. 2) My portions don't need to be as large as I usually have them. 3) It is really important to control your cravings - your minds tells you you're hungry when you really aren't. Your body can go alot longer than you think on just a small snack and some water. 4) In order to eat right yoou really need to plan meals ahead of time - Have a MEAL PLAN and stick to it. This really allows you to control the types of food you eat and the quantities you consume. N.B: It also helps your budget and keeps you from popping in and out of the grocery several times a week. 5) Including your family in your exercise period and seeing it as a family activity really serves as motivation and provides useful quality time so you don't feel like you're crunched for time and pressured.
