Inspirational Quote of the Moment:

"You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

Eleanor Roosevelt
'“ The man said, 'The woman whom you gave… me… gave me of the tree, and I ate.'

" ~Genesis 3:12'

Day 1

Practise Excellence not Excuses

The habit of making excuses can be seen since the beginning of time. When God asked Adam if he ate the fruit Adam blamed it on the woman. And when God asked Eve if she ate the forbidden fruit she blamed it on the serpent. As the story plays out we also learn a universal principle that every action will always have a consequence.

Things haven't changed much over history. as human beings, we have a tendency to blame other people, things and circumstances for why we are the way we are. We blame our poor health on our busy schedules, poor genetics, thyroid, other people. We even blame our clothes!

Excuses are just the symptoms of an underlying problem. One of the most important steps in achieving harmonic health is to uproot excuse-making and deal with the real issues behind the excuses-you can't change what you don't acknowledge.

This weeks lesson will free you from the nasty habit of making excuses and allow you to reap the rewards from understanding that you are 100% responsible for everything you have and everything you don't have in your life-- this includes your health.

  • catch yourself when you're about to make an excuse
  • hear yourself saying 'but'- every everything you say after the 'but' is an excuse
  • re-frame everything in the context of 'I'- instead of work, stress, my husband, my children, my illness- remember, you always have a choice
  • always take a few seconds before you eat to give thanks and remain conscious.
  • review your vision each morning
